Enhancement of Learners’ Receptive Skills through Task-Based Activities to Understand the Eco-Centric Issues Using Wall-E

Animation films inspired by eco-centric ideas, such as green studies, pave the way for learners to explore problems caused humans nature, air pollution, deforestation, climate change, and trash pollution. On other hand, animated movies also help motivate develop reading listening skills. This study focuses on developing learners’ receptive skills using theme-based animation movie “Wall-E” through task-based activities (TBA). TBA is a technique that helps students prepare themselves having participants evaluate their goals listening, understanding information, language needs. aims examine effectiveness of eco-theme in Wall-E enhance TBA. A pre-experimental was carried out with one-group pre-test post-test. The samples were selected purposive sampling. Initially, pre-questionnaire circulated 103 Arts backgrounds test proficiency ideas. Based results obtained from pre-questionnaire, 36 subjected pre-test, after which given during tasks or task cycles, focus, finally Each activity comprehension, thereby promoting ecological issues movie. result shows there gradual improvement mean score between paired-t post-test, (t [36] = 6.13889, P< 0.001), P value being less than 0.005. present suggestive effectively developed motivated about environmental Wall-E.
